Caring for your dental health

Dr Elizabeth Hurwood

I graduated from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Since then I have worked in private practice for almost 20 years, in both rural and city locations. I have been at Lakeview Dental Practice since 1996.

I am interested in all areas of general family dentistry with a special interest in implant restorations, crown and bridge work and root canal therapy.

I strongly believe in discussing available treatment options with you and I endeavour to explain treatment in a way that is easily understood by others. This enables my patients to feel comfortable with the treatment they have chosen and confident that they know both what is going to happen and the costs involved.

I am a member of the Australian Dental Association and I have attended many continuing education courses over the years to keep up with the advances in dental treatment.

Outside dentistry I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and being mum to my two small children.

Dr Nan Ling

I was born in Wellington, New Zealand and graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, from the University of Otago in 1994. I have worked in this practice since 1998 and my aim is to help people maintain their teeth in a decent condition so that they can enjoy eating their food like I do!

I look forward to having the privilege of gaining your trust and confidence in providing quality dental care.

Dr Rosanna Voon

I graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science degree from the University of Queensland in 1987 and have worked in this practice since 2002. I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry and am dedicated to maintaining your oral health. I have an ongoing commitment to continuous education to improve my skills and knowledge in order to provide patients with a high level of service and quality of care.

Dr Sonja Kuehl

Sonja was born in the beautiful city of Hobart to a German bricklayer and an English housewife. At age 12 Sonja decided that she wanted to be a dentist - a career that combines academic studies and fiddling with small things. Sonja went to Adelaide to pursue her dreams and graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1991.

Sonja spent 13 years as a dental officer in the RAAF where she continues to serve as a Reservist. Sonja works at Lakeview Dental Practice part time and spends the rest of her working week as a civilian contractor to Defence at Duntroon.

She is of the belief that working in different environments helps keep her sane! Sonja's dental philosophy is "if it ain't broke don't fix it". She believes that a strong preventative approach and minimal intervention is the best for long term oral health.

Dr Thato Entaile-Tidimane

I have worked at Lakeview Dental Practice since July 2011. I am interested in all aspects of general dentistry and strive for good treatment outcomes for all my patients.

Dr Arash Shah

After a brief hiatus in Queensland to complete my degree, I'm back in Canberra again, and to be honest nothing truly changes. The same warm and social people who prioritise their health have continued to flourish here in the nation's capital. It's always amazing to meet new people who share the same outlook on life, and then take care of them in the dental chair.

As a dentist, I exercise a great interest in the cosmetic aspect of dentistry and aim to cure one's pain and restore and maintain a healthy smile.
